Wow!!! Life in the office is a series of non-stop Amazing Days!!! We've had bunches of new Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) PATIENTS in the last few months. What I hear from most of them is "NO HOPE"!!! They have no hope of being better.

They have no hope of any type of improvement. They have been told that there's NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE!!! NO HELP OUT THERE!!! WELL- JUST LET ME EXPLAIN. We've been doing this in my office at 8808 Tradeway San Antonio, TX 78217 for over 4 1/2 years. Our success is approximately 94%. No Hope is the most common non-physical complaint.

The Nerves, muscles and bones all work together to produce movement. This is called the Neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors are the best trained providers in the world to take care of your Neuromusculoskeletal System.

Our Treatment Plan is laid out to give the best full body care available. The treatments involve all bony joints that effect the upper and lower nerves. Dr. Adkins performs specific testing to determine the presence, type and level of the Neuropathy. If the person has the type of Neuropathy we treat in this office- a treatment plan is laid out and finances are discussed. Treatment is scheduled.

Your testing scores determine the estimated amount of care needed. Your case may require additional visits. Our goal is to help your body to heal from the causes of your Neuropathy. We make no promises of complete recovery but we do everything possible to maximize your health. Patients are told to notice every little difference in their bodies.
After a few visits my patients become aware of small differences. I think my favorite compliment is "I can feel . . . you touching my foot . . . or . . . I felt the . . . kitchen or bathroom . . . rug this morning!!! One man said . . . my wife said I walked better into the grocery store. Amazing! . . . Some have said "my feet hurt during my massage this week" Pain may actually be a positive thing. Feeling is a really positive thing.

If you or someone you know has symptoms in legs which may be increasing or getting bigger we can do testing which will prove or disprove Neuropathy. Our testing also gives the person their level of Neuropathy. We then offer care directed at helping them to heal. Our Office # is 210-930-6937.

NEW NEUROPATHY PATIENT 3-30-2011

March 30th, 2011 · No Comments · Uncategorized ·Edit

WOW!!!
New Neuropathy Patient today- Leg pain and many other sensations too numerous to mention here- Years- since injury of Low Back- just one of many causes of Peripheral Neuropathy.
PERIPHERAL MEANS AWAY FROM CENTER- Can be arms or legs.
NEUROPATHY MEANS NERVE SYMPTOMS- Can be Numbness, Tingling, Pain, Inflammation or Swelling or many other symptoms.
This 53 yo female hurt her low back years ago. When I asked what had changed in her life she said ‘Everything’ with tears in her eyes- going on to tell me she couldn’t ‘play with’ her 6 year old Granddaughter!!! She described many other things- working only 2-3 days a week because of her inability to stand being on her feet more- was the biggie!!! She told of how she lives from ‘doctor to doctor’!!!
Our Neuropathy testing results included- Neuropathy Screen- 6 of 15; balance testing 6 L & R Eyes open and 2 R & L with Eyes closed; Specific Neuropathy Testing- R- 55 of 74 and L- 29 of 74- which indicated mild Neuropathy Right and Severe on Left. Her Upper & Lower Nervous Systems were not working properly.
I treated her after we finished all preliminary paperwork- We also did the very Specialized therapies that go with beginning Neuropathy. She left a happy camper!!!
If you know someone who suffers from Peripheral Neuropathy- have them go to http://www.neurotca.com/ and put in their Zip Code to see if there is help nearby.

National Neuropathy Week May 17-21

My name is Dr Mary Adkins and I was wondering if you would be interested in a story that focuses on HEALTH and RECOVERY??

I am a provider of the Neuropathy Treatment Centers of America which is based in Arizona. We have members across the United States.

Neuropathy Awareness Week is coming up next week, and I would like to give you some info about the disease to raise awareness and to highlight the positive changes we are having with our patients in San Antonio who suffer with this pretty nasty disease. We have been treating Peripheral Neuropathy Patients over a year with much success. The Treatment that we employ allows for Recovery over time and has been proven to allow our Peripheral Neuropathy Patients to experience a much better quality of Life while living with decreased leg and foot pain, tingling, redness and dysfunction.

Here's the link for the Neuropathy Association- Interesting!!!
http://www.neuropathy.org/site/PageServer?pagename=PeterNW2010

Peripheral Neuropathy is one of the most common chronic diseases in the U.S…over 20 million Americans have it. Peripheral neuropathy or “nerve damage” disrupts the body’s ability to communicate with its muscles, skin, joints, or internal organs. It is like the body’s electrical wiring system breaking down, causing numbness, pain, weakness and poor coordination

The National Institutes of Health spent $35 million in 2004 and $29 million in 2005 on peripheral neuropathy research. NIH funding for neuropathy research lags far behind its investment in other neurological disorders. For other disorders with a similar range of disability (multiple sclerosis and epilepsy), the NIH expenditure per patient ratio is approximately 200 times greater than it is for neuropathy.

Too often, patients are told there is nothing that can be done for them, they will just have to live with it. Some patients are even told it is all in their heads, that they are imagining it. People who are suffering with the disorder often feel they have nowhere to turn. They feel isolated and alone. Even their families do not understand what they are going through and start to doubt them. The Neuropathy Association is working hard to change these perceptions through its awareness-building and outreach activities.

Public awareness of this illness is unfortunately low. A 1999 awareness survey reported that only 7% of all adults in the U.S. know about neuropathy. And, yet, it is estimated that up to 20 million Americans, whether they know it or not, currently have some type of neuropathy.

Neuropathy Treatment Center San Antonio

New Patient this week- Past Nurse with Lots of Experience- Lots of Health Issues- Ready to Address Her Health- Serious Neuropathy issues- both legs and both hands!!!

Video of another Neuropathy Patient Below!!!

Responding to her Neuropathy Treatment- already 'feeling better' - already responding to care.
She was a Chiropractic Patient at Adkins Family Chiropractic http://www.dradkinschiro.cc years ago and did very well. She responds to care very quickly and felt no need for "Wellness Care". She recently returned for 'Pain'.
When she found out about the Neuropathy Treatment Center located inside my Chiropractic Office at 8812 Tradeway in San Antonio, TX. She requested to be tested. We did her leg testing on Tuesday 3-23-10. She signed up for care immediately.
In my office we use a 10 treatment Neuropathy plan (although most Neuropathy issues require at least 20 visits) and we offer a refund of all money paid if no improvement within 6 visits. Most serious leg and foot issues will require a minimum of 20 visits over 2-3 months. The improvement seen within 10 visits is great but within 20 visits we've had some folks have almost complete resolution.
If you or someone you Know & Love have leg pain, numbness, weakness, restlessness or Numbness and Tingling- please go to http://www.neurotca.com put in your zip code and locate a Neuropathy Center near you!!!
Here's a video of another of my Neuropathy Patients- Estella!!!

Diabetes Expo San Antonio!!!

We just returned from the Alamodome- the Diabetes Expo was amazing!!!

The vendors mostly were Very Nice and the Attendees were like sponges for info. We had 500 copies of our Special Report that is available at www.sanantonio.nrvfxr.com.
We gave away about 475. Nelda said we had about 25 left.

Nelda and Monica did a great job of keeping me busy doing screenings for the attendees
to show them how advanced their Neuropathies are. They also talked with many folks to give info and to help them sign up to be screened. I didn't get to all the folks. We will be calling them to set up special screenings in the office.

. . . and a Great Time was had by all!!!

Thanks to Audra Lee of the American Diabetes Association for all her hard work putting the Expo together!!!

Great Improvements in Dallas!!!

Sat 2-28-09

I'm in Dallas with my sister Judy. She has had ITP- Idiopathic Thromboctyopenic Purpura- a condition closely related to Lupus. Her legs have had ulcers and threat of ulcers for years. I brought my Treatment to Dallas to use on her legs. We used it 2 times yesterday for 30 minutes each. Her feet & legs have slightly improved color today. When she got up from sleeping her feet were less painful and walking was easier. Today her leg coloration is better. I'm Amazed!!!

I'm so excited I'm getting a 'home treatment' for her!!! She has dealt with her legs for years- I've been disturbed about her legs for years- she's worn heavy duty compression stockings and dealt with ulcers every day for years- bandaging ulcers and taking care of her legs has been what most folks would consider 'full time'!!!
